Bishop's Staff Head, St Peter's Church

Saint Peter’s church in Gloucester was one of the few abbeys in England with an abbot (bishop) important enough to be allowed to carry a decorative staff, known as a crozier. This one depicts Saint Michael slaying a dragon at the end of time!
