Richard III's Sword

from £15.00

This sword is likely to be Richard III's own personal sword, given to the Mayor of Gloucester during a visit to the city in 1483. The sword appears to have never been used in battle as the blade is in remarkable condition and was most likely used for ceremonial duties only. You can find this sword on display within the ‘medieval gallery’ in the Museum of Gloucester. Top tip: shine a torch or phone light onto the sword to see all of the intricate details come to life.
