Are you a Museum Explorer?!

Journey through thousands of years of Gloucester’s history, following this self-guided trail as you search for hidden clues, spot fascinating objects, tackle fun challenges and discover amazing stories. From prehistoric creatures and Roman soldiers to Anglo-Saxons, Medieval life, the natural world and archaeology - it's all here at the Museum!

Along the way, you'll solve puzzles, answer questions and use your imagination to bring the past to life. Perfect for families and curious visitors of all ages, the Museum Explorer Trail makes exploring the galleries interactive, engaging and full of surprises. Pick up your trail sheet and start your adventure today!

Suitable for families with children aged 3+.

These self-guided trails are free, however, if you’d like to support our work he at the Musuem, a voluntary donation is warmly appreciated.

Dates and Times:

Available every day during museum opening hours from Saturday 18 July! Please go to the Museum reception to pick up your trail lanyard(s)!

Minimum £1 donation encouraged!
