Two metres below the ground, The King’s Bastion contains the remains of a section of the Roman city wall with a defensive tower, probably constructed during the reign of Henry III, and is located under a trapdoor in the King’s Walk Shopping Centre, right under shoppers feet! This rarely seen gem is a sight to behold having been closed for a number of years and we are delighted to offer these regular tours again this year for a spooktacular family-friendly Halloween special!

The tour lasts approx. 30 minutes - meet by the entrance in King’s Walk Shopping Centre, Gloucester GL1 1EA (by the silver trap doors, just outside Superdrug).

Not accessible by wheelchair or suitable for those with mobility issues
