Heritage Open Days: Tours of the King's Bastion

  • The Kings Bastion Kings Walk, Gloucester, GL1 1RW United Kingdom (map)

Open again this year for Heritage Open Days!

Two metres below the ground, The King’s Bastion contains the remains of a section of the Roman city wall with a defensive tower, probably constructed during the reign of Henry III, and is located under a trapdoor in the King’s Walk Shopping Centre, right under shoppers feet!
