Nature Journal Workshop (U16)

  • Museum of Gloucester Museum of Gloucester, Brunswick Road Gloucester United Kingdom (map)

Join artist Claire Taylor-Jones to create a beautiful Nature Journal throughout the year with our new series of monthly workshops, using objects in the handling collection as inspiration!

Each month we will concentrate on a different theme - join us for one or all sessions to build up your journal!

The hope of this workshop is to connect children with nature through the medium of art. We aim to build a foundation of simple skills, drawing and observing nature, to create a versatile and enjoyable activity for life-long cognitive and emotional enrichment.

These sessions will be based in the Wheatstone Hall and have an animal/plant ready for you to see on arrival! Your artist will spend a little time talking and looking at the animal/plant with you, then you can have a go drawing it and making any observation notes to the drawing - she will also chat about keeping a sketchbook/journal!
