Lights, Feasts and Fire Trail

  • Museum of Gloucester Museum of Gloucester, Brunswick Road Gloucester United Kingdom (map)

A seasonal adventure through stories, creativity and winter traditions

Step into a world of light, warmth and celebration with our Lights, Feasts and Fire Trail – a festive activity sheet that guides you around the museum with fun, hands-on challenges inspired by winter traditions from across the globe.

As you explore, you’ll match customs to countries and colour in scenes that reflect how different cultures celebrate the season. You’ll unscramble chilly words, solve riddles about historic winter festivals, and imagine your own bonfire celebration through drawing. There’s space to design a beautiful winter window, and you can even take home a medieval recipe for spiced apple and pear pie to try in your own kitchen.

Complete your sheet and hand it in for the chance to win a festive prize!

This trail is perfect for families and curious minds of all ages. Pick up your sheet at the museum and discover how light, feasting and fire have brought people together through the centuries.
